CRONOS BEER PUB

Interior design concept developed for a former Soviet-era building in the village of Bulboaca, Republic of Moldova. The project explores the transformation of an existing space into a contemporary beer pub while preserving the rustic character of the building and establishing a strong connection with the local context and cultural identity.

The design concept is based on a dialogue between industrial aesthetics and Moldovan rustic character. Elements associated with the technological process of beer production, such as exposed pipes, perforated metal and functional details, are combined with natural wood, copper accents and rustic-looking textiles. Subtle references to Moldovan traditional motifs are incorporated into the interior, reinterpreting local identity through a contemporary design language rather than reproducing it literally.The spatial organization was developed to encourage social interaction and provide flexibility for different types of gatherings. Large communal tables, designed to accommodate groups of four to ten people, create a comfortable and welcoming environment for both smaller gatherings and larger groups of friends. The layout maintains an open and dynamic atmosphere while defining distinct areas within the pub.The material palette combines deep brown and black tones with warm wood surfaces and refined metallic accents. Copper introduces a subtle industrial character and adds warmth, while natural textures soften the darker palette. Warm, carefully positioned lighting further enhances the atmosphere, emphasizing the materials and architectural elements while creating an intimate and inviting setting.

The overall concept seeks to balance the raw character of an industrial environment with the warmth and authenticity of a rustic interior. By combining references to the history of the existing building, the brewing process and Moldovan cultural identity, Cronos Beer Pub is envisioned as a contemporary social space with a distinctive sense of place.
